Just south of San Francisco, in Half Moon Bay, lies the world class big wave - Mavericks. Wind Over Water Founder and Lead Instructor, Jeff Kafka not only enjoys paddling in, but when the conditions are right, he kites out and rides the giant waves. Mavericks breaks over a mile off shore, so just getting out to the wave is a challenge. Jeff's dream is to search the world for other great kite-able big wave locations.

Snowkiting - A Ski Trip without the Lift Lines

Is snowkiting harder than water kiting? We get this question all the time. If you like the snow and you like to kite you will love snowkiting.  Skyline Ridge in Utah is a world class kiteboard destination and is the mecca for snowkiting in the USA. The snow is great (many days softer than the water), the wind is consistent, and there is miles and miles of different terrain to accomidate everyone. We like it so much we spend 1/2 our year at our snowkite lodge in Sanpete County Utah. Have you ever wanted to go on a back country adventure? This is it, snowkiting, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hot chocolate by the fire in the luxury of our lodge. Private rooms with good food and a common dining area. Its a great weekend get away or a week long adventure.
